I am writing this email in support of the Island wide School Garden Network.
This program helps our youth to better understand the basic principals of both good nutrition as well as
sustainable agriculture.
In the midst of our current economic downturn and in light of the fact that we as a state import virtually all of our
food,
I think this is an essential component to a well rounded education and think it should be considered to become a
part of the full time curriculum.
