This is <br /> from his letter to me on February 14, 2008. <br /> As far as the County taking over the road for "dedication" of improvements and maintenance, I an <br /> AGAINST any such proposal. There are many private roads in subdivisions in Puna that have been <br /> established and used for sub-division puproses long before this road was made into a private <br /> subdivision. <br /> <br /> In fact, living in Wailea, I would like to see the county spend more funds on maintaining the old <br /> highway that runs into Kolekole Park and into the Hakalau Gulch both raods are in need of <br /> maintenace before they deteriorate and need extensive repairs.
