Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 515-08, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 515-08, transmitted by Council Member Dominic Yagong, via Communication No. 972,
dated January 23, 2008, authorizing the Director of Finance to enter into negotiations to acquire property
for the expansion of the Honoka`a Rodeo Arena, proposed purchase is for up to five acres of the land
adjacent to this County facility.
The potential expansion of the Honoka`a Rodeo Arena will allow for mitigation of dust cloud impacts,
provided needed warm up azea away from spectators and crowds, increase parking, and allow for
continued use for Give-A-Buddy Independence Non-Profit Organization for special needs adults and
children.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 515-08, and
recommends its adoption.
