Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 231, reports as follows:
Bill No. 231, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 519-08 and Resolution No. 520-08, by Director
of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 985, dated January 22, 2008, amends Ordinance
No. 07-82, as amended, the Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii, ending June 30, 2008. The
amendment is as follows:

3607.13 Fire Department Miscellaneous Contribution General $7,500
To:
010.221.5228.99 Fire Department Miscellaneous Contribution General $7,500
Pursuant to Section 46-7, of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is already authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the project
identified in the Operating Budget.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 231, and recommends
it pass first reading.
