Relating To Prohibition of Smoking In Certain Places Council hearing: February 21, 2008
I support Bill 224 prohibiting smoking at Hawai'i County parks and beaches.
Cigarette smoke disgusts me, and it upsets me the most when I am outdoors enjoying our
beautiful weather and scenery. I should not have to suffer from someone else's habit.
I strongly encourage the Council to vote yes to pass Bill 224. Let?s set an example for
the rest of the state! Passing Bill 224, will make visiting all our parks and beaches
more enjoyable.
Please accept this as written testimony in support of this bill.
