On behalf of Senator Inouye, who is away from the office, I wish to acknowledge
receipt of your thoughtful communication informing us of the support by the
County of Hawaii for House legislation, H.R. 676, which would provide for
comprehensive health insurance for all Americans, that was proposed by
Congressman John Conyers, Jr. Your thoughtfulness in sharing this Resolution by
the County Council with us is appreciated. Over the years, Senator Inouye has
worked closely with his Senate colleagues on behalf of similar legislation. We
