SUBJECT: Ordinance Amending Chapter 2 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended) Relating to Campaign Mailing Restrictions
Submitted for your consideration, please find an ordinance to amend chapter 2, article 15,
Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), to add a provision prohibiting mass
mailings of material designed to support a candidate's nomination, at the public expense, by
incumbent Council Members in election years.
