SUBJECT: Resolution Authorizing the Director of Finance to Dispose of Real Property to the
State of Hawaii for the Consolidation and Resetting Aside of Lands Under
Executive Order No. 2196 with Land Purchased for the New South Kona Police
Station
Attached is a resolution regarding provisions pertaining to land usage, specifically the
consolidation and resetting aside of lands, relating to the construction of a new South Kona
police station.
The resolution authorizes the Director of Finance to, upon acquisition of TMK (3)8-2-001:072,
convey said parcel to the State of Hawaii for the purpose of consolidation with land under
Executive Order No. 2196, and then reset aside the consolidated parcel for utilization by the
County of Hawaii for a new South Kona police station.
Also attached to the resolution are a series of maps pertinent to the disposition of this resolution
and a copy of Executive Order No. 2196 labeled as "Exhibit A".

RE: Resolution No. 55Q-O: Resolution Authorizing the Director of Finance to Dispose of Real
Property to the State of Hawaii for the Consolidation and Resetting Aside of Lands Under
Executive Order No. 2196 with Land Purchased for the New South Kona Police Station,
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Nawai"i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
