RESOLUTION NO. 560 0~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, a community outreach meeting was held in the village of Honomu, District
of Hamakua, with the Hawaii Police Department; Department of Land and Natural Resources
Law Enforcement Division; Hawaii Tourism Agency; Victims Against Crimes Agency, and
Senator Lorraine Inouye; to allow residents of the area to share their concerns and visions of
their community; and
WHEREAS, the Honomu community has expressed deep concerns about the numerous
thefts and break-in's that has been on-going and occuring at the `Akaka Falls State Park; and
WHEREAS, the community came into agreement that a Honomu Neighborhood Watch
Program be established and volunteers from the community will be working with the Hawaii
Community Policing Division in partnership to organize this program; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Hawaii Police Department, to acquire equipment and supplies through the HPD Community
Policing Division for the Honomu Neighborhood Watch Program; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Police Chief and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
