Subject: GMO testing
I Joan Rowe am totality opposed to H.B.1577 H.D.1 or testing anywhere in the state of
Hawaii. Have we not learned anything about how GMO escapes? You can say you are going to
grow it in a secure greenhouse and we can all laugh. This is Hawaii, windows open,
breezes blowing and what do you think will happen? Once it escapes the greenhouses we are
doomed. When my customers hear GMO testing is being done in our state they will stop
buying my coffee and what will that do to our economy? I will tell you, it will go down
the drain.
I hope you will vote to be rid of this ridiculous idea all together and put it on Guam or
some other small island, very remote where it isn't apt to escape.
