Re: Acceptance of Donation Ca
In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which
authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal
property, and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawai'i County Code,
which states that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures
of the department of finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we
request the Council's approval of the following donation:
Computer hardware, software, storage media, and a printer (total estimated value of
$1,343.50) to the Department of Parks & Recreation - Aquatics Division, to be used at
the Kona Community Aquatic Center, by Mr. Donald R. Dietrich, 77-282 Hoomalu
Road, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740-4446.
We ask that a letter of appreciation be sent to the donor.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the recipient Department.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of computer hardware, software, storage media, and a printer to the
County of Hawaii, Department of Parks & Recreation-Aquatics Division.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation by Donald Dietrich of computer
equipment and supplies to the County of Hawaii, Department of Parks & Recreation-Aquatics Division. The
computer equipmentwill be used at the Kona Community Aquatic Center. This donation has an estimated
value of $1,343.50
