Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Charlene Hart of Council District 6 to the
County of Hawai'i Board of Appeals. Ms. Hart is a 45-year resident of Hawai'i.
She presently works as a Community Coordinator for the Department of
Education's Hilo Community School for Adults.
Ms. Hart served on the Board of Directors for the Hawaiian Shores Community
Association, Bay Clinic, Kau Community Development Corporation, and Kau
Learning Center. Ms. Hart states that she is not affiliated with any political party.
If confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2012, replacing Ms.
Diane Gentry, whose term expired on December 31, 2007.
