RESOLUTION NO. 568 OS
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Halawa cemetery plays an integral part in the lives and history of the
people of North Kohala; and
WHEREAS, time and weather has burdened the cemetery access, making it unsafe and
uninviting to access; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala community has requested that the trails and path leading
to the cemetery be rebuilt and cleaned; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Public Works, to be used to help fund the maintenance of the access trails and
roads to the Halawa cemetery; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $40,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.33 Department of Public Works $40,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of the
resolution.
