qtr or ~C:, I~ COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII h~Oi ~Mr RESOLUTION NO. 5'70 08 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). WHEREAS, the West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery Development and Expansion Association (WHVC) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to our veterans; and WHEREAS, the federal government recently completed an estimate for the expansion to the West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery by providing an additiona1300 burial sites, which will expand the cemetery northward and add a new columbaria area, a committal service shelter, maintanence building, cremains area, scattering garden, walkways, road, and a restroom; and WHEREAS,. WHVC is requesting financial assistance to purchase flagpoles and flags, while the federal government will provide holes and sleeves for the flagpoles, and WHEREAS, the purchase includes 12-25 feet telescoping, collapsible, and portable, three sets of 4 feet x 6 feet nylon U.S. flags (one set ceremonial, two sets for regular use), one POW/MIA flag, and one flag of each of the six services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines); and WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation, to be used towards the West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery Development and Expansion for financial assistance to provide the cemetery with twelve (12) flagpoles, and flags; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $7,705 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $7,705 CREDITED TO:
