RESOLUTION NO. 579 O8
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, the Adult & Adolescent Outpatient Treatment Services & Therapeutic
Living Program Services, a program associated with Big Island Substance Abuse Council
(BISAC), is a non profit 501(c)3 organization; and
WHEREAS, the problems that drug addiction causes in the lives of individuals, their
families in our communities are enormous; and
WHEREAS, the goal of this program is to reduce recividism, strengthen family
protective factors while supporting family reunification and preservation, increasing community
awareness regarding services and how to access treatment on demand, and ensure compliance
with abstinence through random urine and breathalyzer testing; and
WHEREAS, the focus of this program is to provide the necessary support and
encouragement so the consumer can complete concurrent treatment outside of the program,
adjunct to a chemically abstinent lifestyle, and manage activities of daily living to include
procuring employment or furthering their education; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will appropriated to the
Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide financial assistance for BISAC's Adult &
Adolescent Outpatient Treatment Services & Therapeutic Living Program Services; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.271.5271.14 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $10,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
