RESOLUTION NO. 5'75 Of3
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, Government Roads, Homestead Roads, Government Beach Roads and Paper
Roads located in the County of Hawaii are sometimes typically referred to as Roads-in-Limbo; and
WHEREAS, a tabulation of Hawaii Island's Roads-in-Limbo reflects that currently, in the
District of Hamakua, there are a total of 63.7 miles of Roads-in-Limbo that may require some form of
maintenance and/or repair; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance and repairs of these Roads-in-Limbo will enhance the safety
and well being of citizens who customarily use them; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District I for $50,000 will be
appropriated to the Department of Public Works for the maintenance and repair of Loke Street and
Kahawai Road; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
