COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII '%'o: w:" RESOLUTION NO. 576 08 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) WHEREAS, the Depaztment of Pazks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division coordinates activities and events for seniors throughout the county at various senior centers and other county locations; and WHEREAS, the Elderly Activities Division activities and events include ceramics classes, sports events island-wide and other activities and events designed to allow our senior population to remain vital and healthy; and WHEREAS, of late, the Elderly Activities Division has been borrowing, renting or jury-rigging outdated and/or broken equipment in order to continue these activities; and WHEREAS, the Elderly Activities Division is in need of funds to purchase miscellaneous equipment, such as a kiln, an icemaker and a printer, which will be used at various senior center sites, and for East Hawaii senior events and activities; and WHEREAS, contingency relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Depaztment of Pazks and Recreation to be used to purchase equipment which will be used at vazious sites; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $ 6,900 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $ 6,900 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5519.76 Department of Parks and Recreation $ 6,900 EAD Recreation Equipment (Miscellaneous Eqpt) BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
