~~v or y_ <br /> ~t~l ~ •';FL4 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •,••j'~'Y~.11'+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5~0 US <br /> I Dt~r 2 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S). <br /> WHEREAS, the West Hawaii Veterans' Cemetery Development and Expansion <br /> Association (WHVC) is a nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization that is dedicated to our veterans; and <br /> WHEREAS, the federal government recently completed an estimate for the expansion to <br /> the West Hawaii Veterans' Cemetery by providing an additiona1300 burial sites, which will <br /> expand the cemetery northwazd and add a new columbazia area, a committal service shelter, <br /> maintanence building, cremains azea, scattering gazden, walkways, road, and a restroom; and <br /> WHEREAS WHVC is requesting financial assistance to purchase flagpoles and flags, <br /> while the federal government will provide holes and sleeves for the flagpoles; and <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase includes 12-25 feet telescoping, collapsible, and portable, <br /> three sets of 4 feet x 6 feet nylon U.S. flags (one set ceremonial, two sets for regulaz use), one <br /> POW/MIA flag, and one flag of each of the six services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast <br /> Guard, and Merchant Mazines); and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Pazks and Recreation, to be used towards the West Hawaii Veterans' <br /> Cemetery Development and Expansion for financial assistance to provide the cemetery with <br /> twelve (12) flagpoles, and flags; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $7,705 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $7,705 <br /> <br />
