I want this smoke-free law to pass so that less people would be smoking and the community would be healthier. Every year people die because they have been exposed to secondhand smoke. My name is Manu Vete and I'm in 7e" grand from the Jumpstart Program at Kealakehe Intermediate School. I am a good healthy boy in strong support of Bill 224 that would prohibit the use of tobacco products at all Hawaii County Parks and Beaches. As you may know smoking is a dangerous thing and a bad thing especially for our health. I think that people should stop exposing our keiki to second hand smoke. Additionally, we should not have smoking on our beaches because it's unclean with all the cigarette butts all over the place. I encourage the council to vote yes to pass Bill 224 so we can have all the beaches smoke-free.
