Re: Proposed Bill No. 211, Draft 2
Charter Amendment Relating to the Planning Director, Planning
Commission and Board of Appeals
Attached for your favorable consideration is proposed Bill No. 211, Draft 2 with the following
amendments as discussed at the April 14, 1998 Planning Committee meeting:
1. Page 5, Section 5-6.3 (a). Insert a comma after the word "law". Also moved the new
language "as provided by law," after the bracketed language.
2. Page 6, (c). Restore the original language "although such background or expertise is not
a prerequisite for membership".
3. Page 6, (d). Restore the original language and remove all references to the office of the
corporation counsel.
