RESOLUTION NO. 595 (~8
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Kea`au High School's Project Grad Night is a drug- and alcohol-free
event where graduating seniors can safely celebrate all night with their friends in a positive
and healthy environment; and
WHEREAS, in addition to providing snacks and two meals, Project Grad Night also
provides fun and exciting activities that includes games, bowling, dancing, entertainers, and
prizes; and
WHEREAS, last year's Project Grad Night was a great success as 150 graduates
attended the event and there were no reports of accidents involving Kea`au High School
students during this time; and
WHEREAS, each year, Project Grad Night is provided thanks to the efforts and
donations of volunteers, students, staff, families, local businesses, and the community; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards Kea`au High School's Project Grad
Night, which is scheduled for Friday, May 30, 2008; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $2,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms
of this resolution.
