Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Gene Carvalho of Council District 6 to the Hawai'i
County Liquor Commission. Mr. Carvalho is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He
retired as Human Resources Manager at Chevron USA, Inc., in 1995.
Mr. Carvalho was a member of the Kailua (Oahu) Jaycees. He states that he is a
registered Democrat. If confirmed, Mr. Carvalho will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2012, replacing Ms. Leinaala Enos, whose term expired on
December 31, 2007.
