Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Grant S. Togashi
of Puna to the Hawaii County Planning Commission to replace
Eddie Alonzo of Puna, whose term expired on December 31, 1997.
Mr. Togashi is a life-time resident of Hawaii and since 1993
has been the Contract Administrator for Ka'u Agribusiness
Company. Prior to that, he was with KTA Super Stores (1990-1992).
His community activities include involvement with the Keaau
Kula Neighborhood Watch, the Lehua Jaycees, the American Red
Cross and the American Cancer Society. He is a member of the
Democratic Party.
If approved, Mr. Togashi will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2002. Should the Council need further information
regarding this submission, you may contact me at your
convenience.
