Aloha Council members-
Please LET VOTERS DECIDE IN NOVEMBER about Article XI-Initiative and Referendum- Bill 257, Draft 2
Vote YES!! ON Bill 257, Draft 2 PUT THIS MEASURE ON THE BALLOT and let citizens decide.
SUPPORT this charter amendment. Some of the changes to ARTICLE XI are:
1. Signatures to be validated if the signer includes 3 of the 4 qualifiers that are reasonably similar: name, the signature,
mailing OR residence address, month and day of the birthdate and the date of signing.
2. That the total of qualified signatures is 10% of the voters who voted in the last Mayoral election. c

3. The ballot question is written by the Petitioners committee. t7
4. The petition circulators need to sign a statement but not get the petitions notarized. Z

5. Defines when the measure becomes law.
6. The chronological order of the new amendment.
