Re: Resolution to Create New Account Number
Enclosed is a resolution to create a computer equipment account for the Golf
Course Fund. The Hilo Municipal Golf Course needs to replace its current
computer system to allow for upgrade of programs and increased use. The
current system does not have sufficient disk space to run the necessary
programs beyond the year 2000.

And appropriate funds as follows:
Decrease $4,950.00: FROM account no 090-561-5561.02-218, Golf Course - Fuels & Lubricants
Increase $4,950.00: TO account no 090-561-5561.06-454, Golf Course - Computer EQPT & Software
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Hilo Municipal Golf Course Starter's Office needs to replace its current computer system to allow
for upgrade of programs and increased use.
The equipment currently in use does not have sufficient disk space to run the necessary programs for
maintaining daily statistics, record keeping, and reports beyond the year 2000. Acquisition of new
computers will allow for continuous efficient operations at the Golf Course.
Funds are available in the Fuels and Lubricants account due to savings in gasoline and diesel
consumption.
This request is to establish the Computer Equipment and Software account, and to transfer sufficient
funds from the Fuels and Lubricants account to acquire two personal computers, and one laser printer.
