RESOLUTION NO. 626 OS
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Kealakehe Community Association dba Kealakehe Neighborhood Watch is
a partnership of communities, schools and county agencies island wide; and
WHEREAS, Kealakehe Community Association dba Kealakehe Neighborhood Watch is
a 501(c)(3) Hawaii non profit organization formed to promote crime prevention activities
through the efforts of the neighborhood and youth crime watches of Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Kealakehe Neighborhood Watch is to restore, activate and
provide positive alternative programs such as youth conferences, workshops, dances and sports
activities; provide scholarships for equipment and travel; host Family Fun Day and Crime
Prevention Fair; and conduct Neighborhood Watch revitalization projects; and
WHEREAS, the program tazgets and serves approximately 200 youth, ages 10-17, who
aze registered Neighborhood Watch participants; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Police Department to help support and coordinate the partnership between Kealakehe
Neighborhood Watch, the Kealakehe School Complexes and the Police Department to provide
positive alternatives and crime prevention activities in Hawaii County; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transfen•ed/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forwazd a copy of this
resolution to the Police Chief and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessazy transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
