SUBJECT: Resolution Transferring Contingency Relief Funds (Council District 3)
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Public Works for the acquisition and paving of the bottom portion of Momona Road in the
Happy Homes Subdivision.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $50,000 from the Clerk-Council Services -
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:

SUBJECT: A Bill to Amend Ordinance No. 07-83, the Public Improvements and Financing
Budget, by Adding the Momona Road Acquisition & Paving Project for $50,000
Enclosed for your review and recommendation is a bill amending Ordinance No. 07-83, the
Public Improvements and Financing Budget, by adding the Momona Road Acquisition & Paving
Project for $50,000. The Happy Homes community is currently landlocked and has no public
access into their subdivision.
Funds for this project will come from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief account
(Council District 3 Contingency Relief funds).
As per Article 10, Section 10-6 of the Hawaii County Charter, your recommendations to the
proposed amendment will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Resolution No. 637-08 Transferring/Appropriating an Appropriation Out and
From the Designated Fund Account and Crediting Same to a Designated Fund Account
Bill No. 300 : An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 07-83, as Amended,
Relating to Public Improvements and Financing Thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2007
to June 30, 2008
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
