I am ABSOLUTELY opposed to the Air Force's proposal to use the Big
Island for the test flight area of the C17 cargo jets or for any other
military testing. It is completely inappropriate to disrupt this residential
and agricultural based land with low flying jets, helicopters, or any other
noise-polluting war machinery. Why do they need to fly over land at all?
If it is so necessary to fly these planes, fly them over the ocean. The
Hawaiian Islands are geologically relatively young and have very-fragile
ecosystems which have been destroyed and damaged enough by
careless, mindless, pointless military tests. ENOUGH ALREADY. Let
nature BE at some point soon, PLEASE! There are Endangered Species,
which this proposed flying and other Military testing puts in real danger.
The Navy already kills supposedly Federally protected marine animals
with the LFAS , consider the disruption you incur upon the Hawaiian I'o
(hawk). Stop polluting our skies with your war machines. Prioritize
your finite funds, in this time of need for the protection and benefit of
the People. Consider .....what would benefit the people. Albw Democracy
and Listen to the Voice of the people... "WE DON'T WANT YOU TESTING
ANYTHING ON OUR ISLAND" Look at all the toxic, radiated mess the
military has imposed on Kahoolawe or even Pearl Harbor. We don't want
any of your war junk or your war tests on our peaceful island! Please Do
something good for our Islands; instead of incessant spending on all of
the fuel literally wasted by your military test flights, put the funds into
supporting US to become more self-sufficient instead of relying on
imported food and fuel, or fund a mass-transportation system, that's
convenient and works for the People, or give us a new hospital in Kona.
Just do something to help the People of Hawaii, instead of continuing to
harm us, our health and not only Peace,but Peace of mind No one will
convince (other than by force or imposition) the People of Hawaii that
low-flying cargo jets are going to be in the Best Interest of the People.
Listen to the Voice of the People, we are all not young children, who can
not think or speak, we KNOW we do not want the Military disrupting our
peaceful skies, our children, families, elderly, homes, our land, our oceans
or our lives in any way!!! Listen to what the People want we don't want
ANY more military activity on the Big Island: No More Depleted Uranium
(which you insisted lying to us about), No Stryker Brigades, and NO C17
CARGO JETS!!!!!! Take your War equipment and Soldiers off of this island
and Go Away!!!!
