Dear Council Member,
I hope you take time to read these notes.
I feel I must comment on the Airplane Training Program.
I am sure that there are a lot of people out there that
enjoy going out, looking up to the sky with fingers to their ears and
seeing the planes soar.
I love the military and want them well trained, but to do I am sure they
will have to make many maneuvers at different altitudes.
There must be other areas, island with similar terrain that are not
occupied by people that can be used.
many people out there that can not tolerate such noises, take the coqui frogs as an example
when they first arrived, there were residents that loved the sound of them.
But now, is impossible to hear a person speaking on the telephone that
live the areas over taken by the frogs. People have to close their windows in summer to listen
to their Television.
Impact on our atmosphere from fumes, quality of life, our land investments, will be impacted
by the planes. Many of us have placed all our retirement funds, our life savings on our homes here, and
such a impact can not on our Island will deflate our resale values
Even though we may not live in the affected area, we must remember the famous passage:
"Treat your neighbors, as you would have them treat you" and help them with this issue, as well as
any other issues that would impact our island negatively.
