A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources -Personnel & Organization Development
Division provides training, facilitation and consulting support to all departments of the county in
order to continually improve both personnel and organizational effectiveness and maximize the
potential of the County's human capital; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel & Organization Development Division will be holding the
2008 Clerical Conference, entitled "2008 Office Support Staff Conference, Balancing Work and
Play -Your Choice", which will be held on May 29, 2008 at the Naniloa Hotel; and
WHEREAS, the purpose is to recognize support staff for all their hard work and dedication
by giving them their "special" day to get together and share ideas, and network while attending
training sessions that will enhance their work performance; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to
the Department of Human Resources to be used to help defray conference costs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/ appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
