Subject: Please Override Mayor Kim's Veto of Bill 224
Dear Hawaii County Council Member
I commend you for passing Bill 224. I strongly urge you to override Mayor Kim?s veto. By
vetoing Bill 224, Mayor Kim is perpetuating the health care crisis we are facing today.
Bill 224 is about everyone?s right to breathe clean air and significantly reducing the
toxic litter at our County parks, beaches and recreational facilities. Bill 224 will still
allow individuals to smoke and use tobacco products ? just not at our beautiful parks,
beaches and facilities where keiki and their Ghana visit and would like to fully enjoy.
Please accept this as written testimony in support of this bill and override the veto.
