Aloha Honorable County Council Chair and County Council Members,
I am pleased to support County Bill 224 with this written testimony high lightening the
youth and adults we serve in regards to tobacco control. Please consider this
testimony as you decide the outcome of Bill 224.
1 would like to be able to join you at the County Council meeting tomorrow on April 22,
2008, however I will be providing quit smoking Survival Kits and lung health
information to the employees of the Hilton Waikoloa Village, then driving back to Hilo
to facilitate our teen quit smoking program, Not On Tobacco, in the afternoon at
Goodwill Industries I Ola Ka Hana program.
