SUBJECT: Transmittal of Bill 237, Draft 2, Relating to the Amendment of Section 25-8-7
(North and South Kohala Districts Zone Maps), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning
Code) Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition).
Please find attached Bill 237, Draft 2. Bill 237, Draft 2, is a product of amendments contained
within Communication No. 998.8 that were duly approved by the council at its County Council
meeting of April 22, 2008.
The amendment further down zoned the subject property from the planning director's
recommendation of Residential and Agricultural 5 acre (RA-5a) to Residential and Agricultural
15 acre (RA-15a).
Pursuant to Hawaii County Code section 25-2-43, Bill 237, Draft 2, shall be transmitted to the
planning director and the planning commission for their review and recommendations. The
planning director and planning commission shall have a combined 120 days, upon receipt, to
provide such review and recommendations.
