Dear Councilman Tyler,
This letter is in praise of the Hawaii Island Humane Shelter.
I don't know how they did it, but this organization somehow kept track of my best
friend's request for a rare and rather expensive breed of cat, an Absynnian, for
more than three years, at which point he received a call notifying him that such an
animal had been turned in and my friend should come down and collect him.
Which he did.
The only issue I have with the shelter is that this man no longer considers me his
best friend. My position has been usurped by this cat--which, I should add, he has
named "Leonardo De Catrio."
The Hawaii Island Humane Shelter does a wonderful job with both their two- and
their four-legged clients. Please don't allow something that ain't broke to get fixed.
We all know the probably outcome of that here on the Big Island.
