Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a resolution transferring $25,000 into the Public Safety
Disaster/ Emergency account. This account has been drawn down due to the
drought conditions and unanticipated fires and other emergencies.
As timing is of the essence, we would like this resolution to go directly to the
Council meeting scheduled on May 6, 1998.

RE: Attached Resolution Authorizing the Transfer of $25,000 into the Public
Safety Disaster i Emergency Account
Pursuant to Section 1(e) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County
of Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regards to Resolution No. 260 - 98, relating
to the transfer of $25,000 into the Public Safety Disaster i Emergency Account, waiving said
resolution from the Committee on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by the
Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
