Dear John:
In preparation for the 1998 Old Hawaii On Horseback Pageant, we have
constructed five new bleachers at a cost of approximately $1500 apiece.
Once the pageant is completed, Mrs. Bergin and I would like to donate
these bleachers for use at the newly created soccer field adjacent to the
Lucy Henriques Medical Center in Waimea. It would be the County's
prerogative to use these bleachers as need dictates. In exchange, we
would ask that the bleachers be housed and maintained at the soccer field
and be available for our use at Old Hawaii On Horseback pageants in the
future.
We hope the County will be receptive to our proposal as we see this
arrangement to be of mutual benefit to soccer families and pageant
organizers. Thank you for your consideration, John, and for the exemplary
service you provide to our community.
