dated November 25. 2002, amends Ordinance No. 02-76. as amended. the Operating Budget
ending June 30.2003. The amendment is as follows:

The Police Department will be receiving additional funds from the Department of l~ransportvtion
to obtain equipment for its Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection Program (PMVI). Specifically.
the funds will be used to purchase two personal computers and printers for the Kona Driver
License Section and the Hilo Public Safety Building, Driver License Section.
Pursuant to Section 46-7. f lawai'i Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b)- Hawaii Counts
Charter, the Mayor is already authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for this
program identified in the Operating Budgel.
Your Committee nn Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 5 and
recommends it pass first reading.
