William Takaba, via Convnunication No. 31, dated December 4. 2002, amends Ordinance
No. 02-76. as amended, the Operating Budget. ending June 30.2003. 'I he amendment is as

These funds from the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney (icneral, Crime Prevention
and Justice Assistance Division will be used to hire a Victim Services Coordinator in the Police
Department to service the on-going needs of victims from domestic violence/sexual assault while
their cases remain under im-estigation.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii Count}
Charter, the Mayor is hereby° authorized to apply tor, receive and expend the funds Rx a Victim
Services program identified in Scctiun l .
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. I S and
recommends it pass first reading.

By motion duly made and seconded, the County Council amended Finance Committee
Report 15 with the following change:
1) The voting table reflects "NOES" (no) votes for the following Finance Committee
Members: Safarik, Leithead-Todd, and Reynolds.
The incorporated ajz~endment shall state the following: The voting table shall reflect
"A&E" (absent and excused) for the following Finance Committee Members:
Safarik, Leithead-Todd, and Reynolds.
Finance Committee Report 15, as amended, was adopted by the following voice vote:
AYES:Councilmembers Chung, Elarionof; Holschuh, Jacobson,
Leithead-Todd, Reynolds, Safarik, Tyler, and
Chairman Arakaki - 9.
NOES:None.
ABSENT & EXCUSED:None.
