'These funds from the Hawaii State Emergency Response Commission and the l i.S. Department
of Transportation Hazardous Materials I:mergcncy Preparedness Planning Grant through the
State Civil Defense, will be used for the preparation and annual update of the Halvai'i Count}
kanergency Response Plan- which will be administered by the Fire Department.
Pursuant to Section 46-7. Hawaii Revised Statutes- and Section 13-13th). Hawaii Count}
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for- receive and expend the funds tur the Local
Emergency Planning Committee program.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 10 and
recommends it pass first reading.
