Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 13, reports as Billows:
Bill No. 13, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 17-0 3 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 29, dated December d, 2002, amends Ordinance
No. 02-77, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30. 2003, by adding the following
project:

Microwave Relocation-Private-T-Mobile I10-299-5299.41 $1,064.3±3.16
Funds for these projects shall be provided from private contributions.
Funds will be used for the payment of costs of construction of a replacement radio system for the
Hawaii County Police Department. f-Mobile is working with the County to install an interim
solution to replace some microwave facilities while the County constructs its permanent
replacement system. phis relocation will transfer the department from a 2GHz to a 6 GI1~
svstem.
Originally heard on December 1 Z 2002, this measure was deferred due to the lateness of the
Committee meeting and. therefore, the inahilit}• of the Police Department to return to the
meeting.
For informational purposes, Mr. ~fyler voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee nn Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 13 and
recommends it pass tirst reading.
