The Police Department will he receiving additional funds from the State of Hawaii Department
of Transportation to purchase computer cyuipment for the Commercial Driver License (CDI,)
Program. Specifically, the funds will be used to purchase two personal computers_ printers. APC
and software for the Kona Driver License Section and the Hilo Public Satcty Building. Driver
License Section.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(h)_ Hawaii County
Charter, the bill authorises the Mayor to apply for, receive and expend the funds for this program
identified in the Operating Budget.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 21 and
recommends it pass first reading.
