Your Committee on Finance. to which was referred Rill No. d8, reports as lullows:
Rill No. 48, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 38-03 by Director of Finance William
l~akaba. via Communication No. 1 17. dated January 23. 2003, amends Ordinance No. 02-77. as
amended, the Capital Budget, ending June 30, 300 ~_ b~ adding the following project:
PARKS & RI~.CRI?A'TION:
P&R Maintenance Shop Relocation 110-599-5591.68 $129,000
Funds for this project shall be provided from private contributions.
Meadow Gold Dairies, hie. has (1) agreed to pay $129.000 to the County in consideration for the
County's agreement to assign its rights under EO 2283 fora 22,01 I-sq. ft portion of the County's
total 1.956 acres, (2) will relocate a Parks and Recreation office huilding located un the proposed
portion of transferred land to a replacement parcel at its own expense, and (3) understands that
the exchange is conditioned upon the County's successful purchase of the replacement property.
Therefore, funds will be used relocate the Parks & Recreation Maintenance Shop to I L I tarada
Contractor [ne.'s parcel which is double the size ofthis existing parcel that is heing given up by
the County of I lawai`i.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Rill No. d8 and
recommends it pass first reading.
