RE: Resolution Transferring/Appropriating Funds
For your consideration and approval, I am transmitting the attached resolution
transferring/appropriating $24,300 from various accounts in the Clerk-Council budget to cover
anticipated expenses in the last two months of the fiscal year.
Specifically, the resolution transfers $1,300 into the Overtime account to cover the retroactive
reallocation of several positions in the Council/Committee Services Section; $6,000 into the
Legislative Auditor's Regular S&W account to cover raises (i.e. excluded managerial); $10,000
into the Travel/Conference account for future possible public hearings, workshops and special
meetings; and $7,000 into the Mileage and Auto Allowance account.

RE: Attached Resolution
Pursuant to Section 1(3) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written approval is submitted in regard to Resolution No. 265
transferring/appropriating a total of $24,300 from various accounts in the Clerk-Council budget
to cover anticipated expenses in the last two months of the fiscal year, waived said referral from
the Committee on Finance in order that appropriate action can be taken by the Council.
In reviewing the contents of the referral, it is deemed advisable that such a waiver be granted.
