Your Committee on Finance. to which ti'as referred Kesolution No. 49-03, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 49-03, transmitted b~ Finance Director William Takaba. via
Communication No. 160, dated March 4, 200 ~, changes the position status of two Lifeguard I
(Pool) 1/2 time (temporary) positions to permanent status.
The Department of Parks and Recreation-Aquatics Division wishes to increase the time element
for the aforementioned positions in order to maintain minimum levels of coverage and to prevent
pool closures. It is necessarv~ to extend the two summer temporary positions throughout the year
to provide safer levels of service to the public at Ihis popular facility.
Funds are available in the Department of Parks and Recreation-Aquatics Division Regular
Salaries and Wages account number 010-500-5513.61-O1 1.
Your Committee on F'inancc is in accord with d~c purpose and intent of Resolution No. 49-03
and recommends its adoption.
