Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 67-f13_ reports as ~bllows:
Resolution No. 67-03, transmitted jointly with Bill No. 105 by pirector of I~inance
William lukaha, via Communication No. 228, dated April 21, 2001. authorizes the Of(ice of the
Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of~l~ransportalion. Ibr the
Federal ~hransit Adminisu'ation grant.
fhe State of Hawaii Department of ~l7misportation has authorized a $35 L000 Federal
hansportation Administration Section 531 1 grant to the Mass Transit Agency R>r public
transportation services and cyuipment.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, county departments must obtain the consent
of the council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action uI
be taken pursuant to any of dIC powers granted by law to furnish. expend and receive am funds
or other assistance in connection with prgjects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those
powers.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord ~roith the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 67-03
and recommends its adoption.
