Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 70-03, reports as tbllows:
Resolution No. 70-03, transmitted by Director of Finance William ~fakaba pia Communication No. 23?.
dated April 23. 2003, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one f fiscal
year for amulti-year lease for seven (7) copy machines.
The Hawaii County Police Department wishes to enter into a ~ivo-ycar Icasc contract tier sevai (7) copy
machines for the ~bllowing locations: Public Safety Building PMVI. Public Safety Building Pau~ol
Receiving Desk. Public Safety Building Information Desk, Kona Records, Police Commission. Public
Safety Building CID Section and for the new cellblock detention facility. Funds would be budgeted in
future fiscal years to cover the anticipated costs.
According to the Police Department, overall cost savings would be as ftlllows:

payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by resolution.
