.tune 17, 2003, authorizes i he acceptance of donations from the Kmart Corporation.
I~hc Kmart Corporation ha, graciously donated a 19" IVNCR to the Department of Parks &
Recreation, Aquatics Dig ision. for use by all pool facilities to teach American Red Cross Water
Salely classes.
Pursuant to Article XIII. Section I ~-12, Ilawai'i Counh Charter, the Council on behulfofihe
County, may accept gilts or donations of personal property.
Also, pursuant to Chapter '_. Artidc 30- Section 2-162 (c)- of the I lawai-i Counh- Code. am
donation or gift wfiich doe; not tall within the capitalization procedures of the department of
finance shall he submitted to the council by letter fin' its approval.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Kmart Corporation, Mr. Karl Lizza, 74-546
Kamakacha Avenue. Kailua-Kona. Hawaii 96740. acknowledging Ihesc generous donations.
Your Committee on Finance recommends acceptance ofthe donation ofa 19"'IV!VCR from the
Kmart Corporation for use by the Deparhnent of Parks & Recreation. Aquatics Division.
