August 5. 2003. authorizes the acceptance ofa donation Isom the Kmart Corporation.
l~he Ikmart Corporation has gracioush donated a 13" symphonic "fV/VCR ui the Department of
Parks & Recreation, Aquatics Division. Ibr use at Konawaena Pool and other facilities to teach
American Red Cross classe, to the community. The value of this donation is estimated at
`61 ? 6.00.
Pursuant to Article Xlll, Section 13-12. I lawai'i County Charter. the Council on behalf ofthe
Count}. may accept gills or donations of personal propcrt~.
Also. pursuant to Chapter 2. Article 30. ~lYillon 2-163 (c), the I lavvai'i County Code am
donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the department of
linance shall be submitted to the council h}' letter fur its approval.
