Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Kesolution No. 106-03, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 106-03. transmitted jointly with Bill No. 149 by Director of Finance William
Takaba, via Communication No. 352, dated September 19, 2003, authorizes the acceptance of a
donation from the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation.
The Hawaii Police Athletic Federation has graciously donated $1,000 to the Hawaii Police
Department for Hawaii Isle Police Activities League (HI-PAL) program.
Pursuant to Article Xlll, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of money, securities, or other personal properly or of real
estate or any interest in real estate.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Mr. Dennis Perterson, President, Hawaii Police Athletic
Federation, P.O. Box 22623, Honolulu. Hawaii 96823, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 106-03
and recommends its adoption.
