Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 141-04. reparts as follows:
Resolution No. 141-04, transmitted by Director of Finance William'Cakaba, via Communication
No. 445, dated December 19, 2003, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Nakahara
family.
I~he Nakahara family has graciously donated two basketball backboards to the Department of
Parks & Recreation for use at the Pa'auilo Gym in the name of Thomas Nakahara. 'l~he value of
this donation is estimated at $1,518.00.
Pursuant to Article XIIL Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to Scott Nakahara, DDS, P.O. Box 235, Honoka'a, Hawaii
96727, acknowledging this generous donation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the acceptance of the two basketball backboards from
the Nakahara family.
